Project Narrative

Asbestos sampling was taken before any work commenced. The existing lightning protection rods, asphalt shingles with felt roofing and perimeter metal edge trim down to existing plywood sheathing was demolished and removed. The new Installation included with a new 5/8"" gypsum board underlayment, fully adhered reinforced PVC colored roofing with decorative raised ribs, PVC flashing at all curbs, flashing boots at all roof penetrations and sewer vents, and PVC coated perimeter sheet metal that tied into the existing fascia metal and gutters.

Specially, the roofing assembly included a 5/8"" gypsum board underlayment sheathing mechanically fastened into the lower steel deck as per FM 1-90 requirements; and a fully adhered colored reinforced PVC roofing membrane. New reinforced color PVC flashing was applied as per drawings. New snow guards were installed as indicated on plans. Additionally, new fall protection hard points were installed as indicated on plans and as per OSHA structural anchorage requirements. All rooftop HVAC equipment was reinstalled and reconnected after the new roofing system was completed.
